Lyle Clayton Heuer, son of Clarence and Matilda (Rosenbrook) Heuer, was born on April 16, 1932, in Jackson County, Minnesota. He graduated from Sioux Valley High School in 1950 and honorably served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956.
On June 24, 1956, Lyle was united in marriage to Phyllis Reimers. He worked for Jaycox Implement for over forty years as a mechanic and shop foreman. Following retirement, Lyle began working part-time at the Lake Park Lumberyard, putting in a twenty-year career. Woodworking became a lifelong passion, and his skills brought joy to both family and community, whether repairing items, building something new or creating a thoughtful gift.
Lyle was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park and of the Sioux Valley American Legion. He also enjoyed spending time with ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) where he connected with friends over food and conversation.
