Obituary of Lynda D. Main

Lynda Diane Main passed away peacefully at her home in Lima, NY on November 22, 2025, after a long illness. Born June 14, 1960, in Lackawanna, NY to Patricia and Harold "Bud" Buncy, both deceased. Growing up in East Aurora, she spent many of her young adult years enjoying life and traveling while training to pursue her Olympic goal and passion as a talented swimmer. She is survived by two daughters, Brandy (Matt) Dudkowski, and Angela Fox. She took immense pride in their accomplishments and cherished the women they became. Lynda later married her loving husband, Thomas Main in 2008, and gained 3 more daughters; Melissa (Jay) Kuhn, Kristen (Chad) Livermore, and Cynthia (Dan) Drabek. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family and 12 grandchildren as often as possible.

She loved sewing, especially quilting, gardening and canning, and cake decorating. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing with her husband. They travelled often on road trips to Florida, Tennessee, and Maine, bringing home some of her favorites, like "lobstahs". Lynda often enjoyed watching the birds in her yard even when she saw the squirrels and chipmunks eating more birdseed than the birds. She also collected all things chicken and was an avid Elvis fan.

Lynda is survived by her sisters Bonnie Bowen and Sue VanEss, brothers Floyd Buncy and Jim Buncy, many friends and family members especially Tracy and Jackie Main, with whom she was very close.

Lynda is well loved and loved many. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. If anyone wishes to honor Lynda's life, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Mercy Flight, an organization that Lynda loved.
