Lynda “Twinkle” Echols Williams, 80, of Kernersville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born to the late Joe Echols and Mildred “Snook” Echols on February 21, 1945, in Forsyth County.
Lynda, was always quick to lend a hand to those in need. Highly patriotic, she loved to talk and be among people. She could fill every room with her contagious laughter.
In addition to her parents, Lynda is preceded in death by her loving husband Henry Murphy Williams and beloved brother Jerry “Punk” Echols.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Gwen Echols; her children, William Joe Walls (Tara), Christopher Williams (Lisa), Charles Keith Williams (Sue), and Carole Williams Clapp (Jordan); her grandchildren, Kenneth Church, Haley Walls, Dakota Walls, Tristan Walls, Erica Williams, Izabella Gonzalez, and Daniel Gonzalez; and three great-grandchildren.
The family is grateful for the care and kindness Lynda received from Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Cardinal Hospice.
No formal services will be held. An informal gathering of family and friends is planned on Saturday, November 15th at 1:00 PM at the Mount Gur Cemetery gravesite for prayer, reflection, and sharing.
The family encourages that donations be made to either Cardinal Hospice or Samaritan’s Purse in Lynda’s memory
