A funeral service for Lyndon Edward Crosby, Sr., 68, of Alto, Texas will be Saturday November 15th, 2025 at 2pm at the O.T. Allen & Son funeral home chapel. A visitation will be 2 hours prior to the funeral service also at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto.
Mr. Crosby passed away Monday November 10th, 2025 in Greenville, Texas. He was born December 26th, 1956 in Big Spring, Texas to Jimmy Carroll and Dorothy Gene Crosby. He moved to Alto with his family in 1969 while he was in middle school. He later graduated from Alto High School. Lyndon enjoyed fishing and two-stepping. While he participated in and judged at the United Kennel Club and American Kennel Club events, he was extremely passionate about coon dog breeding, being the owner of Cross-B Kennels for many years. He was an electrician by trade.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Joey. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Lyndon and Lucy Crosby of Troup, Texas, K.C. and Casey Crosby of Conroe, Texas; daughter Amanda Crosby of Alto, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Orlene Crosby of Alto, Texas, Darrell and Debbie Crosby of Alto, Texas, and Larry and Teresa Crosby of Alto, Texas; sister Deann Blackmon of Rusk, Texas; grandchildren Sebastian, Dawson, Kerry, A.J., Mia, Cooper, Jaycee, and Brooklyn; great grandchildren Kailen and Amylah; nieces and nephews Larry, Jr., Shaun, Jimbo, Judy, Monica, Angela, Tera, and Sammie Jo; as well as numerous cousins and "honorary" nieces and nephews.
