Lynette Land

Lynette Land, born on January 6, 1973, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, passed away surrounded by family on January 1, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.

Lynette's life was rooted in the warmth of family love and the love she had for all her pets. She is lovingly remembered by her partner, Fred Ostapowicz; her mother, Catherine Land; sisters, Laura Mackenzie and Liana Bond. Lynette also held a special place in the hearts of her nieces Jackie Majors and Sophie Mackenzie, and nephew Alex Mackenzie. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lynette was preceded in death by Don H. Land and Donald R. Land.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, January 14th and January 15th, 2026 from 3 - 8:00 pm and Friday, January 16th from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Walter Pomierski & Son Funeral Home, 1059 West 32nd Street, Chicago, IL. 60608. Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am at St. Mary of Perpetual Help Church, 1039 West 32nd Street, Chicago. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. (773)927-6424
