Lynette Irene (Allison) Parks, age 61 of
Portage, IN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Lynette was born in
Lilbourn, Missouri. She is the beloved mother of Chasidy Garner and Brandon Scott Parks. Lynette is survived by, Chasidy (Zac) Garner and grandson, William Owen Garner; mother, Barbara Allison of
Portage, IN; brothers and sisters, Laurene (Kent) Ray of
Valparaiso, IN, Ginger Allison of
Portage, IN, Karen Hunt of
Hickory, NC, Billy (Valerie) Allison of
Portage, IN, John Jacob Allison of
Portage, IN; in-laws, Bill and Lisa Garner, Lizzie (Rene) Saldana of
Chicago, IL and Alan Saldana of
Chicago, IL.
Lynette was also loved and adored by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Scott Parks; father, Billy Dean Allison; nephew, John Anthony Ray. She was a Portage High School graduate, Class of 1980 and worked at Dynatec in
Valparaiso, IN for over 12 years. Prior to, Lynette worked as a bus driver for the Portage Schools for over 15 years. Lynette cherished most and above all, her grandson, Owen.
Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue,
Portage, IN 46368 with Pastor Scott Jones officiating. Burial to take place at McCool Cemetery. A visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ee-fh.com.
