Lynn Sloan Barnes

Lynn Sloan Barnes, age 56, of Elkin passed away on July 4, 2011 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Ms. Barnes was born in Yadkin County on March 26, 1955 to Fred Sloan and the late Thelma Johnson Sloan. Ms. Barnes founded Grace Clinic in Elkin and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member and Deaconess of the First United Methodist Church in Elkin. Ms. Barnes was preceded in death by her Mother, Thelma Johnson Sloan. She is survived by her father, Fred Sloan of Hamptonville, a daughter, Charlene Hernandez Solis & husband Julio of Elkin; a brother, Freddy Sloan & wife Beth of Jonesville; Several Loving Nieces and Nephews; and a special pet "Abby" A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Jonesville officiated by Rev.
