Lynn Damare

Lynn Burkart Damare entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2023. Beloved wife of Alvin Damare for 58 years. Mother of Lisa Ward (Trevorr), Stephanie McCune (Andy), Aaron Damare (Karen), and the late Ryan Damare (Michelle). Grandmother of Christopher Ward (Kasey), Matthew Ward (Leighton), Emily McCune, Kaitlyn Damare, and Ayden Damare. Great-grandmother of Aspyn Ward, Watson Ward, and Walker Ward. Daughter of the late Clarence "Hooks" Burkart and Anna Claire Hedrick Burkart. Sister of Penny Theriot (Don). Aunt of Casey Taveirne (Mike), Scott Theriot (Emily), and Renee Fox (Jason). Also survived by her cousin Hanya Castrinos (Jimmy) and her dearest friends Gerry Pierce, Gwen Skinner, and Inez Dogu. Age 77 years, a native of New Orleans and resident of Terrytown, LA. Lynn was a dedicated wife and mother with a vivacious personality. Missed will be her tales of traveling abroad with family and friends, her knowledge of everything from skincare and makeup to the importance of the "right red" when making interior design decisions, her infamous Christmas Parties and so much more. Lynn was a graduate of Redemptorist High School. She loved decorating, entertaining, and traveling. Her home was often the scene of many parties. She was always redecorating, and in her later life even had a small renovation business. Through the years, family and friends made many trips to Florida, Disneyworld, and later Europe together. We will be forever grateful for her love and guidance through the years. Special thanks to all the members of Interim Healthcare Hospice and her sitter Mrs. Tammy Williams for the care provided during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or Lewy Body Dimentia Association in Lynn's name.
