Lynn Marie Johnson nee Sweeney, 63 of Wood Dale. Daughter of the late George and Marilyn Sweeney. Dear sister of Thomas (Inger) Sweeney, John (Kathleen) Sweeney, Mary C. Sweeney (the late John Bach), George E. (Kathleen) Sweeney and Susan (Martin) Zei. Loving aunt to many.
Lynn passed away peacefully at Alexian Brother Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village after battling Dementia. Lynn grew up in Park Ridge, IL and graduated from Marillac High School. She received an associate’s degree from Oakton College in childcare development. She was affectionately known as “Pooh” after the animated character Winnie the Pooh. She loved children, gardening and animals. Lynn had a charming sense of humor. Her cheerfulness, positive spirit and strength of character will be missed.
Lynn is preceded in death by her husband Russell Johnson. Together they ran a small printing business for many years.

Laying in state Friday, November 21, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 551 N. Rush Street, Itasca, IL until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment private.
