Lynn McCain

Lynn McCain, age 66, of Gadsden, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022.
Lynn was born on October 11, 1955 to the late J.C. McCain and Nelta McCain. She is survived by her husband, Skeeter Crim; son, Alexander McCain Walley; step-daughter, Sarah Beth Crim; brothers, Barry (Dawn) McCain, Tim McCain and Gary McCain.
Lynn Graduated from Gadsden High School in 1974, obtained her bachelor s degree from the University of Alabama in 1978, where she was the editor for the Corolla. In 1982 she obtained her J.D. Degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. Lynn had many accolades among which were Omicron Delta Kappa, National Leadership Honorary; Mortar Board, National Honor Society; Phi Delta Phi, National English Honorary; Bench and Bar, Legal Honor Society.
She was a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, Alabama State Bar. She was also president of the Etowah County Bar Association in 2011. Lynn had an AV Preeminent Attorney Rating with Martindale-Hubble recognizing lawyers with the highest level of professional excellence.
Lynn was an avid fan and supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide and loved attending football games with her son, AJ, and friends. As a master gardener she enjoyed being outside working in the garden with her beloved dog, Teddy. She enjoyed competing in the annual chili cook-off in downtown Gadsden, winning numerous awards with multiple teams.
Lynn was inducted into the prestigious One of XXXI which honors women who have shown great commitment to the University of Alabama through service, leadership, and character.
Lynn was a true friend to many and was loved and admired by all who came into her life. She will leave a warm place in our hearts and a smile on our face when we think of her for all the joy and happiness she brought to our lives.
Her family welcomes friends to join them in a Celebration of Life on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4:00 pm 7:00 pm at The Venue at Coosa Landing.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lynn s name to the Kiwanis Club of Gadsden Foundation, P.O. Box 877, Gadsden, AL. 35902.
