Lynn Mohr, 78, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in her home surrounded by loving friends and family. Lynn was born on November 25, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Ralph and Ida (Yampolsky) Nash. She was a 1964 graduate of South Philadelphia High School and soon went to work at the Bell Telephone company. She married Joseph Mohr, and they had one son, Joseph Jr. When Joseph Jr. was ten years old, he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Lynn spent the next 40 years caring for him. Recently, her sister, Mary Saylor Davis, of Ottumwa, went to Philadelphia to bring her to Iowa for ongoing care and to be closer to her family. She ultimately chose to reside with Dwight and Debbie Saylor of Hamilton, who gave her tender loving care. Lynn loved her two elderly dogs, Peanut and Sadie, and was blessed to have them with her until recently. She loved watching Judge Judy, The Wheel of Fortune, and (Fox News). Lynn is survived by her sister, Mary Saylor Davis of Ottumwa, whom she loved dearly, and two brothers, Scott and his family of New Jersey, and Joe and his family of Pennsylvania. In addition, parents, she was preceded in death by both her husband, Joseph, and son, Joseph Jr. When in Iowa, it was determined that she had cancer; however, she was too frail for aggressive treatment. She decided to accept hospice care. Suncrest Hospice did a beautiful job taking care of her in her last weeks. We are all grateful for the loving support and expertise. There is no service planned at this time. A private gathering will be arranged in the future.
