In Loving Memory of Lynn Marie Morehouse
On November 14, 2025, Lynn Marie Morehouse (née Loesche) peacefully concluded her seventeen-year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Joseph (Joe) and Virginia Marie (née Downing) Loesche. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly forty-two years, Mark Stewart, of Lake Orion. Together, they raised five children: Joseph Mark (Kate) of Grand Rapids, Laura Marie (Craig) Sinbine of Superior, Colorado, Megan Elizabeth of Lake Orion, Kristine Ann (Dustin) Dressel of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Daniel Stewart (Madison) of Stuart, Florida.
Lynn is also lovingly remembered by her cherished siblings, Steven Joseph (Brigitta) Loesche of Lucerne, Switzerland, and Janet Downing Loesche (Daniel Luria) of Brighton and her many loving nieces and nephews.
Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren: Kaelyn Ann, Lana Elizabeth, Lydia Margaret, Mae Marie, Lila Lynn, and Easton Mark.
Lynn was widely known for her dedicated work in the in-home daycare business, serving families in Ypsilanti and later Rochester Hills. She was an active participant in the Holy Family Regional School community, managing the school's fundraising concessions at the Art and Apples Festival for twenty-two years. Lynn also supported a kindergarten teacher at HFRS and oversaw hospitality functions at Bishop Foley High School.
Lynn and Mark traveled extensively throughout the United States, giving their children the opportunity to visit nearly every state. She also enjoyed touring Europe multiple times, as well as exploring the Caribbean and Mexico.
Known as a social butterfly, Lynn never met a stranger. She was a best friend to many, and her infectious personality led to numerous relationships that spanned her lifetime. A lifelong lover of softball, Lynn played well into her 40s with the same fire and enthusiasm that defined her spirit. She was also a devoted bowler, building lasting friendships through her league, which became more like family. For Lynn, her passions were never just about the activity, but rather about the friendships they fostered.
Lynn's vibrant presence made her the heart and host of many gatherings, always bringing people together and creating joyful memories.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lynn's name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
