Lynn Sutton Obituary
A Celebration of Life Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville, Ga. Pastor Shaun Daley will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM before the service at the funeral home.
Lynn was born July 29, 1958 in Atlanta, Ga. to Jessie Bantes Sowell Bruce and the late Lee Norman Bruce Sr. She graduated from Walker High School and grew up in the Gresham Park area of Atlanta. Affectionately known as "Lynnard" by her family, Lynn went on to build a successful and dedicated career, working for Ga Power and the Southern Co. for over 40 yrs. in the Customer Billing department.
Lynn is survived by her beloved husband of 40 yrs. Paul Sutton of Snellville, Ga. and her 95-yr. old mother Jessie Bruce of Gainesville, Ga., her brother Lee Bruce of McDonough, Ga. and her sisters, Deborah Stewart, Bantes Hodges and Ellen Nelson of Gainesville, Ga. Lynn was a cherished aunt of six nieces and four nephews, three great-nieces and four great-nephews and two great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew.
Lynn will be remembered for her strength, dedication and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
