Lynn Wilson Obituary

Lynn Ann Wilson

July 28, 1943 - October 5, 2025

Bellingham, Washington - Lynn Ann Wilson died on October 5th while on a Walla Walla Wine Tour. Lynn was born in Seattle in 1943. She graduated from the University of Washington with a major in English.

She married Rick in 1968 and moved to Bellingham. She had two children, Pete and Jeff. Pete died in 2004. Jeff and his family -wife Katharine, granddaughter Eleanor, and grandsons Henry, George, and John.

Lynn was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the U of W, Bellingham Yacht Club, Bellingham Golf and Country Club, and the Frances Larrabee Garden Club. She was also a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild for many years.

Lynn boated in the San Juans most of her married life. But her passion was artistry. She became a talented pastel painter after the kids were out of the nest. Her lessons with artists on Maui were precious to her. Her house in Bellingham is full of her artistry.

She is survived by her husband, Rick, and Jeff's family in Hillsborough.

A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 2117 Walnut Street, Bellingham, WA, at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 18th. A reception will follow at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club, 3729 Meridian Street, Bellingham, WA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Whatcom Hospice, Bellingham, WA. Their care for Lynn was outstanding.

Dear Rick, Charlie and I send you our love during this sad time. To lose Lynn is to lose the best pal of a lifetime. I came to know Lynn at St. Paul’s and then better through our times painting together both in Trish Harding’s all day Wednesdays workshops and attending together several days of workshops in My Vernon. She was dedicated to her art. She was also a good painting buddy, generous in spirit. We are just now learning of her passing and are so sorry. Phyllis Self
