Lynne Hoots Obituary
Winchester - Lynne Hoots, age 82 of Bluffs passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Scott County Nursing Center in Winchester.
She was born February 12, 1943 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Lawrence and Jean O'Brien Evans. She married Clifford Hoots November 11, 1960 in Bluffs and he survives.
She is also survived by her children, Guy (Beth) Hoots of Bluffs, Lorrie Koch of Winchester, Kristi (Kenneth) Miller of Dawson; three grandchildren, Amanda Howerton, Brett Hoots, and Linley Koch; four great-grandchildren, Brycen Hoots, Audri Howerton, Lennox Koch, Maxx DePriest, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Mark Hoots; two brothers, Tom Hart and Larry Evans; and a son-in-law, Steve Koch.
Lynne worked at the Bank of Bluffs for 43 years retiring as assistant Vice- President. Lynne would do anything she could to help other people. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Lynne enjoyed the company of her cats, mushrooming, fishing, and an occasional trip to the casino was not out of the question. She was a member of Plackes Coffee Club.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester with burial to follow in Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Scott County Nursing Center.

Lynn was a good high school friend of my sister, Judy Martin. I remember her quick wit and her ability to bring a smile to any conversation. My mom worked with her at the Bank and loved her sweet personality. Blessings to all.

I'm so sorry to read of Lynne's passing. She was a couple of years behind me in school in Bluffs. My most recent memories of Lynne were of her helping to organize the class reunions where we were in contact with each other. She was such a sweet lady. My deepest sympathies to her family.
