OBITUARY

Lynne Ann McCarthy (née Frank) passed away on December 12, 2025, in San Diego, California. She was born on January 15, 1956, in Long Island, New York and lived a life rooted in love, kindness, humor, and unwavering care for those around her.

A retired teacher, Lynne spent more than 30 years with the Santee School District. She earned a master's degree in Childhood Education and Special Education, and was named Teacher of the Year in recognition of her dedication to her students. She was someone who consistently took care of others, often putting people first not out of obligation, but out of love and a deep sense of service.

Lynne embraced joy and togetherness. She loved dancing, musicals, dining out, and bringing people together, and was especially known for her famous broccoli casserole. She was artistic, witty, and known for her sharp humor. Later in life, she enjoyed exploring the world through virtual travel.

Lynne is survived by her husband, Daniel; her children Bryan (Pamela), Jeanette (Eddie), Gary, Jared (Susie), and Aaron; her grandchildren Conner and Cameron; her siblings Gary (Phyllis) and Joyce; her sister-in-law Betty; and her beloved dog, Owen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Sylvan Frank, her siblings Pam and Michael, and her dogs Princess, Mitszi, and Lily, whom we like to believe she has lovingly reunited with.

A private family service will be held, with a celebration of life to follow on her birthday in January.
