Lynne O'Neill

HAGAMAN –

Lynne O'Neill, 71, passed away following a long illness at her daughter's home in Hagaman, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, February 14th, 2026.

Lynne was born on October 4th, 1954 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, to the late Shirley Partridge, and lived most of her life in Amsterdam, until retiring to Waterloo, South Carolina in 2018.

Lynne spent many years as a toll collector at exit 24 of the New York State Thruway, and then sold real estate for several more years before retiring. A lifelong caregiver in every sense of the word, Lynne loved her family wholeheartedly, the 3 adored shih-tzus she raised, and most especially, the summers she spent camping at Great Sacandaga Lake with her family. She was a wonderful cook, and her whole family will remember with much love the wonderful holiday meals she prepared for everyone,

including those brought to River Ridge in Amsterdam, while her mother-in-law lived there.

Lynne is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul O'Neill of Delanson, her daughter Shannon O'Neill of Hagaman, her son Allen O'Neill of Waterloo, South Carolina, two granddaughters, Tristen Holland (Ryan) of Perth, Georgia O'Neill of Hagaman, and her three great granddaughters, Nevaeh, LeeAnna and Brinlee Holland of Perth. She is also survived by a first cousin, Patricia Hewitt of Rotterdam, and several sisters and brothers-in-law. She was also predeceased by her beloved grandmother, Georgia Partridge, of Amsterdam.
