M. Jeanette Andrew

Mrs. M. Jeanette (Bowman) Andrew, age 78, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on October 16, 1943 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of, Carl Emery and Marie (Crafton) Bowman, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Jefferson County, Indiana and was a graduate of Southwestern High School, class of 1962. On July 9, 1964, Jeanette was united in marriage to John B. "Johnny" Andrew in Hanover, Indiana. This happy union of over 44 years was blessed with three children. She was employed as a sales clerk for CVS Pharmacy in Vevay, Indiana, retiring in 2006 after 22 years of service. Jeanette farmed with her husband on the family farm in Vevay, Indiana for many years. She enjoyed gardening and owned and operated J&J Greenhouse in Vevay, Indiana for 15 years. Jeanette was a former chairman for the Switzerland County Republican Party. She was a former 4-H volunteer from 1985-2008 and was a past board member. Jeanette was also a former leader of Rockers 4-H Club with her husband, Johnny. Jeanette also served on the Switzerland County Soil and Water Conservation Board and was a member of the Mt. Sterling Baptist Church. Jeanette passed away at 9:40 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana.
Jeanette will be missed by her daughter, Jill Richards and her husband, James of Vevay, IN; her sons, Billy Andrew of Vevay, IN and Jay Andrew and his wife, Jennifer of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, Dakota, Peyton, Ethan, Brayden, Nathan and Cailyn; her sisters, Phyllis Moore of Anderson, IN, Linda Elles and her husband, Gayle of Hanover, IN, Susie Lyons and her husband, David of Canaan, IN; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol Bowman of Hanover, IN, Barbara Bowman of Bedford, KY, Judy Andrew of Rising Sun, IN, Judy and Dave Smith of Madison, IN and Phillip Vest of Bedford, KY and her numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Emery and Marie Lavonne (Crafton) Bowman; her husband, John B. "Johnny" Andrew, died November 18, 2008; her brothers, Ronald Bowman and Kenneth Bowman; her sisters, Rosie Amick and Jo Ann Vest and her brothers-in-law, Nathan Moore, Don Amick and Don Andrew.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2022, by Rev. Mike Sawalich, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay, Indiana.
