M. Alexander Jones

Marion Alexander Jones, Jr., 91, former director of the Carroll County Department of Social Services, passed away on February 15, 2026 at the Terraces at Westminster in Westminster, MD. Born March 7, 1934 in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Marion Alexander Sr. and Virginia Jones. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Rae Jones. Surviving are his daughter, Kathryn Spivey and her husband, Bryan-their children, Wyatt and Kira; his son, Alexander Jones and wife, Lisa - their daughters, Faith and Anna, their son, Benjamin and his wife, Jessica and their daughter, Allison; and his son, Michael Jones -his daughter, Madisen and her significant other Shawn; Lacey and her husband, Tommy-their son, Parker. A visitation will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main St., Hampstead, MD 21074. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Buddy Landrum officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Carroll County Food Sunday, P.O. Box 605, Westminster, MD 21158.
