Mary Sue Odea, "Sue", passed peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Sue grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Ursaline Academy. Venturing out for the evening at a 21 and over dance, Sue, although not quite 21, met her first husband, Francesco Gentile. She devoted herself to raising her daughters, Sandy and Linda, and once they were in school, earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati and a gerontology certificate at Mount St. Joseph University. She worked at the South Fairmont Senior Center before moving to Godfrey, IL where she worked with the local school district with at risk youth. Sue was very proud of her Irish heritage and spent time in Ireland with her second husband, Daniel, exploring areas where her family originated. Wanting to further promote the interests and welfare of Americans of Irish descent, Sue helped start Lady Hibernians in Godfrey. After Daniel passed, Sue moved back to Indiana to be close to Sandy and enjoyed reading, especially mysteries. One of Sue's passions was genealogy and she was an active member of DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution. As part of this love, Sue collected birth and death certificates and bibles while also studying what people did.

Sue will be deeply missed by her daughters Sandy (Tom) Mahoney and Linda (Scott) Hostetler; grandchildren Brett, Sam, Nathan, Gary, Richard, Sahara, and Jennifer; great grandchildren Grayson, Haliegh, Hayden, Abigail, Sophia, Irish, Juliana, and Moira; and sister Dottie (Ben) Burger. She is preceded in death by her second husband Daniel Odea; first husband Francesco Gentile; granddaughter Allison; siblings Patricia Hyman and Bob Baldwin; and parents Marshall and Genevieve (Queen) Baldwin.

Services honoring Sue will be held on Friday, September 26 at St. John the Baptist Campus of All Saints Parish in Dover, IN. Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by Mass at 11:00am. A private burial will be held at a later date. For those unable to attend, Mass will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/user/aspweeklyhomily. Memorials can be made to Masses, DAR or Lady Hibernians. Memorials will be accepted at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home. Family and friends are encouraged to leave condolences at www.andres-wuestefeldfh.com.
