Mabel M. Budinger

Belmont, NY - Mabel M. Budinger, 73, of 5739 Church Street passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a brief illness. She was born August 30, 1940 in Corning the daughter of Jesse and Idabelle (Sutton) Horton. On April 22, 1977 in Belmont she married Harold R. Budinger who predeceased her on January 24, 2003.
Mabel was raised in the Campbell area. She was the owner and operator of Mabel's Place in Belvidere and for many years she was the bookkeeper for Budinger Wrecking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren; antiquing and playing the lottery.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Stacy) Budinger of Portville and Richard Budinger of Hornell, five grandchildren, Sienna, Halle, Gavin, Kirsten and Brooke, seven stepchildren, Harold (Monica) Budinger of Angelica, Lillian Budinger, Allen Budinger and Donna Budinger all of Friendship, Larry Budinger of Arkansas, Timothy Budinger and Betty-Jean (Dan) Smith both of Tennessee, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, four brothers, Lawrence, Elmer, Charles and Richard Horton, five sisters, Josephine Tyler, Vera Morisman, Sarah Manning, Shirley Hollister and Sharon Daley as well as several nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert Budinger, two stepsons, Gerald and Aaron Budinger, two daughters-in-law, Paula and Barb Budinger and four brothers, Jesse, Ernie, Robert and Tom Horton.
The family visitation will be on Friday, December 13, 2013 beginning at 6:00 pm and friends are invited to call on Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., 17 Schuyler Street in Belmont. The service will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Merritt Burdick presiding.
