Mabel L. Penn

Hilliard, Ohio Mabel L. Penn, 94, of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly of Waverly, Ohio, passed 7:14 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2025, at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Dublin, Ohio.

Mabel was born July 21, 1931, in Pike County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Romie Williams, and Hazel (Abbott) Williams. She was united in marriage to F. Dale Penn, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Penn Harper (Dr. Timothy Harper); two grandchildren, Dr. Bradley Kropp, and Whitnie (Josh) Hackney; four great grandchildren, Miles, Maren, Kendall, and Rowan; two sisters, Helene Dunn, and Judy (Wendell) Scowden; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Gladys McAllister, and Louise Cooper; and a brother, Denver Williams.

Mabel was a long-time resident of Waverly, and a member of the Waverly Chapter #99 Order of the Eastern Star. She also previously worked as a Deputy Registrar.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Minister Larry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery, Bridge Street, Waverly, Ohio.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the beginning of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
