Macie Eve Bernal of Beaumont, Texas passed away suddenly on Monday May 17th, 2021 at Christus St Elizabeth Hospital.

Macie was born May 4th, 1954 in Beaumont, Texas where she met the love of her life in Richard Bernal in 1977. Macie spent everyday loving and caring for her family. She loved listening to all genres of music, dancing and being with family. There was never a dull moment with Macie around. Her energy lit up the room. To know Macie was to love her. Macie had an angelic smile and always having something to say to spark a conversation no matter if you just met or have known each other for years. Macie will truly be missed.

Left to cherish her memories include, her sisters, Cheryl Gentry-Chafin and husband Dave of Stanford, KY, Diana Politika and husband Gary of Port Angeles, WY, Brenda Battles and husband Rob of Lafayette, LA, Loretta Plaunty-Bessie and husband Mark of Opelousas, LA, Linda Plaunty-Dupre of Lafayette and husband Jaques, LA, brothers, Doug Gentry and wife Shannon of Enumclaw, WA, Adam Plaunty and wife Pam of Mire, LA, Leonard Plaunty and wife Hong of Lafayette, LA, Wayne Gray of Lafayette, LA, Ernest Plaunty and wife Jackie of Silsbee, TX, David Plaunty and Tony Plaunty of Silsbee, TX, Albert Plaunty Jr. of Silsbee, TX; daughters, Sonya Sablan and husband Paka of Livingston, TX, Christina Moreno and husband Sergio of Orange, TX, Lisa Taylor and wife Brandy of Beaumont, TX, grandchildren Alyssa, Maryssa, Marquel, Michael, Zachary, DJ, Monica, Ashley, Courtney, Christian, Emilio, Sergio, great-grandchildren Nova Taylor and 22 others.

Preceded in death by mother Delta M. Bourque Gentry Plaunty Gray, husband Richard Bernal, sister Denise Ann Gentry, Brothers Martin Fox and Jimmy Plaunty.

Memorial services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Saturday May 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
