A proud graduate of Arlington High School, Class of 1950, Mack was known for his excellent athleticism and dedication to student activities. He married Jacqueline Spencer in 1950, and together they became integral members of their community. By 1966, he was transferred to the Northgate automotive center in Seattle and then moved to Oregon City in 1968. The family remained in Oregon City until the children completed their high school education. Following this, Mack and Jackie returned to Edmonds, Washington, where he managed his last JC Penney automotive center until his retirement. They soon returned to Oregon City, motivated by the joy of becoming grandparents.
