Madeleine Chammas Obituary

With deep grief and sorrow, we announce the passing of Madeleine Chammas, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who peacefully moved to the divine glory on Saturday, February 22, 2025, completing her religious duties and surrounded by her family and loved ones. Christ has truly risen; may her memory be eternal, and the eternity God has given her be blessed.

Madeleine was born on July 19, 1972, in Beirut, Lebanon, to Georgette and Malak Chammas. She was the youngest of four children, raised alongside her sisters Nisrine, Sonia, and Noha. Madeleine’s father, Malak Chammas, predeceased her.

She is survived by her husband, Dany Bacha, and their children, Thomas and Daniella. Madeleine also leaves behind her beloved mother, Georgette Naaoum-Chammas; her sisters, Nisrine (and husband Chawki Khalil) and family, Noha (and husband Hanna Bteich) and family, and Sonia (and husband Nasser Dia) and family. 

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Juliette Al Ayat in addition, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Genevieve (and husband Jerious El-Chaer) and family, and Marie (and husband Abdo Bou Tayeh) and family, along with many other loved ones.

Madeleine was known for her unwavering faith, loving spirit, and selfless dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221). The visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM, and a burial at 2:30 PM. 

A Meal of Mercy will follow the burial at the home of Jerious and Genevieve El-Chaer.

May her soul rest in eternal peace. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
