Madeline Zito Baker

Madeline Zito Baker passed into eternal peace on December 11, 2011 at Chateau de Notre Dame at the age 89. She was preceded in death by her husband William John Baker, parents Frank and Rosalia Zito, sister Nancy V. Zito and brothers Joseph (Frances), Philip (Barbara), Bernard Zito and in-laws Marie Zito and Anthony Bartolotta. She is survived by sons William (Jill), Philip (Linda) and Frank (Jean), daughters Mary Lynn (George) Roberts and Nancy (Paul) Hamburger, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, brother Frank Zito, Jr., sister Mary Jo Bartolotta and nieces and nephews. Madeline worked for the Archdiocese of New Orleans as a cafeteria manager at several schools and at St Christopher School in Metairie. She was a member of the Elenian Club, Metairie Manor Guild, American Legion Auxiliary, St Benilde Choir and various organizations. Private services were held at Metairie Cemetery. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the staff at Chateau de Notre Dame and Concerned Care Hospice.
