In memory of
SS Friend

Madeline´s life was full-and she delighted in sharing her experiences, her music, her stories, and her knowledge with those around her. She reminded us all of the importance of staying true to ourselves, standing up for what matters, and never losing sight of what makes life worth living.
As a colleague, she was awesome-dedicated, generous, kind, and simply the best.
To her family: please know how deeply we admired her, and how thankful we are that you shared a part of her with us. She will be remembered always, with profound respect, gratitude, and love.

Madeline, you really were one of a kind! When I first heard the news, I felt the sadness-but then I thought of you, smiling, laughing, and living life your way, and I knew I had to celebrate you instead. So today, here´s to you! To the cocktails we shared, the stories you told, the strong opinions that always made things lively, and the joy of working-and laughing-together. You left your sparkle everywhere you went, and I´ll always be grateful for that. Cheers to you, Madeline Brown!

Revital and I are deeply sorry to hear that Madeline is no longer with us. Madeline worked with us for many years and left us only good memories. Her dedication, her smile, her positive attitude and her openness to learn, inspired us all. Madeline was always calm and I never saw her angry. She always listened and found common ground. A person of values and integrity that we all need to admire. As Revital and I are overseas, we will not be able to attend the service in her memory, but we will continue to have Madeline in our heart and mind.

Madeline was a woman ahead of her time-independent, smart, kind, and always politically engaged. She cared deeply about making the world a better place and lifted up other women along the way.
She wasn´t a morning person, and she never quite managed to pronounce my name-but that became part of her charm. She had those rosy cheeks, a quick wit, and stories that could light up a room. At work, she always had the data, but in life, she had the wisdom-and often an Italian saying or two to make it stick.
I´ll always remember lunchtime with her and Marie-those breaks filled with laughter, gossip, and a little plotting. She was always impeccably dressed, often eager to show off a new piece of interesting jewelry, and just as eager to boast about her boys and her grandchildren. Her pride in them was boundless.
She gave me unforgettable experiences-like taking me to see Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. She passed along her love of Clapton and the greats, and even introduced me to Amy Winehouse before the world caught on. Her home was full of Rolling Stone magazines, posters from her travels, knick-knacks with stories behind them-all evidence of a life lived with passion and curiosity.
She loved a good party, she loved to travel, she loved music and connection. She was always young at heart, and if you knew her, you walked away better for it.
Her SunSetter family will always be grateful for the time we shared with her. - Thank you Maddy Brown!
-"Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure / And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven" - E. Clapton

I remember hiring Madeline many years ago. She worked closely with me for a long time at SunSetter and she was one of the most genuine, nicest persons I had the pleasure to work with. She loved her concerts and it was always fun to hear her stories from the events she attended. She will be missed. My thoughts are with all her family and friends during this difficult time.
