Born on December 17, 1946, to the late George and Myra Werner (Thompson), Madeline's life was a testament to her unwavering warmth and compassion. She is fondly remembered and will be sorely missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
Madeline's legacy is carried on by her devoted sons, James, with his wife Heather, and Joseph, with his wife Kerry. She was the cherished grandmother to Sean, Kyle, Erin, Joseph, and Matthew, who will hold dear the memories and lessons she imparted. Her brother George and sister Barbara also survive her, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom she loved deeply.
Madeline's professional journey was marked by her passion for helping others, most notably as a Special Education teacher at Claremont School in Ossining, NY. Her dedication to her students was unwavering, and she was often described as an educator who went above and beyond for every child in her care. Her impact on the lives of countless children and their families will be remembered as her most significant and enduring contribution. Madeline's commitment to her work was unparalleled. She spent many fulfilling years at Kohl's, where she was not just an employee but a friend, a mentor, and a beacon of positivity. Her colleagues often remarked on her infectious smile and her ability to turn any challenging day into one filled with laughter and optimism.
Beyond her professional achievements, Madeline was an avid Fenton glass collector. Her eye for beauty and detail led her to amass an exquisite collection that brought her great joy. Her love for Disney movies was well-known, and Dopey from Snow White held a special place in her heart as her favorite Disney character. This whimsical side of Madeline brought laughter and lightness to those around her.
Madeline's character was defined by her kindness and gentle spirit. She approached life with a soft and nurturing touch that made everyone feel at ease in her presence. Her kindness was not merely an attribute but a way of being that influenced her every interaction.
