Baby Madelyn Ariel Castro daughter of Rebecca Rodriguez and Salvador Alberto Castro born September 2nd, 2025 at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Maddie was a little heart warrior she unexpectedly came crashing into this world on her own terms and schedule after an appointment on September 2nd, 2025 weighing just 1 ounce shy of 9 pounds, with a head full of dark curly locks. She was just perfect. Her parents knew some of what she was coming into this world with and never once even considered loving her any less. They were scared of the journey ahead, but were more than ready to fight along with her. All they wanted was to show her a life full of love. She was a bundle of joy, their greatest adventure. She quickly stole the heart of her baby sister Sophie, all the family, her nurses, doctors and just about anyone else. She will remain in their hearts forever.

Maddie was only here on Earth a short time, but she lit up the room. She will live on forever in the hearts she's leaving behind. She will be their protector, their fighter, their angel. She will be a story of perseverance, of strength, and mostly of love.

During her visit on earth, she enjoyed listening to lullabies, cuddling with her bunny and being held close by her parents. Maddie experienced holding hands with her mommy and daddy, hugs and kisses from her family, and listened as mommy and daddy said "I love you" an uncountable amount of times.

Maddie was baptized September 15th, 2025 at Texas Children's Hospital by her godparents; Leanne and Matthew Contreras.

On the afternoon of Tuesday September 16th, 2025 she met the eyes of God and took her final breaths in the arms of her mommy with daddy sitting right beside them. They were all surrounded by love and a room full of family.

Baby Madelyn is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather; Gerardo Rodriguez.

Survived by four siblings; Sophie Montserrat Ayabar, Julian Alberto Castro, Jazleen Alexandra Castro and KalaniAviana Castro.
