Madelyn Marie Jackman

Madelyn "Lyn" Jackman, 73, a 20-year resident of Lothian, MD, and previously of Capital Heights, MD, died on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Largo, MD, following an 8-year illness.
She was born on October 13, 1950, on Clark Air Force Base in central Luzon, Philippines, to the late Emily and Thomas McLain. Lyn worked for Jack's Distributors, the Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA), and Casa Rio Marina. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making people laugh.
Lyn is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William Jackman; two daughters, Patricia Carlisle of Davidsonville, MD and Christine Cooksey of Lothian, MD; two sisters, Martha Aggers of Erie, PA, and Beth Wilson of Virginia; and two grandchildren, Ryan Carlisle and Karen Cooksey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Shelby Chialastri.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Lyn's life on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 4 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to Lyn's GoFundMe Page.
