Madge Hawkins

Madge Hawkins passed away on November 4, 2025 at the age of 71. She was born in Clarendon, Jamaica on January 31, 1954 to the late Robert and Doris (Almond) Edwards. On September 22, 1999, she married her loving husband Bobby Joe Hawkins. They spent many happy years together until his death in 2022.
Madge came to the United States from Jamaica in 1991. She worked as a private Home Health Aide. She was a very kind and giving person, and she cherished her family and friends. Madge loved cooking, traveling, going to flea markets, and playing dominos and ludi, a Jamaican board game.
She is survived by her 2 beloved children Susan Mohr and her husband Mark, and Amando Downer; her grandson Justin Lewis; her brother James Edwards; her close family: Dawn Russell, Marcel Lewis, Eileen Russell and Delroy Prince; and her friends: Collette Frazier, Joanet Johnson, Maud Edwards, Angela Clarke, Ingrid Hibbert, Sophia Tyrell, and Arlene.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd from 10-11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 204 Spackenkill Rd., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Funeral Service will begin immediately following visitation, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
