Madonna Manganello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Clawson on Feb. 29, 2024.
Madonna Marie Manganello passed away February 24, 2024 at the remarkable age of 101 years old. She was born to Theresa and John Glosque in Tarrytown, New York. After her mother died, when she was quite young, she and her siblings moved to Imlay City, Michigan, to live with their Aunt Marie and Uncle Hugh Donovan who so graciously and lovingly raised them.
After high school, Donna moved to Detroit, Michigan, for work. She met the love of her life and true partner, in every way, James Manganello, when she was living at the YWCA and he was living at the YMCA. The pair later married, moved to Birmingham, Michigan, and started a family. They built a wonderful life together there and along the way eventually built their forever home in Beverly Hills, Michigan where they made many life-long friends.
Donna and Jim loved to dance and were especially good at it! Donna also enjoyed playing bridge and played well into her 90's. The couple enjoyed entertaining and traveling with their friends and family, both domestically and abroad. But what they loved most was simply spending time together at their cottage up north. It was their happy place!
Donna was greatly loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her, but especially by her loving children, Tim, Terry, and Tom!
She is survived by her son, Tim, daughter Terry, son-in-law John, son Tom and daughter-in-law Lisa, along with her grandchildren Duffy (Krista), Jason, Katie, Michael (Melissa), Jim (Lucy), Paul, and Jon. She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren Norah, Max, Matthew, Mark, and Melrose who will continue to hear stories of her adventures as long as we can tell them.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, her mother and father, her sister, Gerry, brothers, John and Chuck, and daughter-in-law, Liz.
A celebration of life will be held by immediate family at a later date.
