Mae Delaney Obituary

MAE LYNN DELANEY Mae Lynn Delaney, born on June 4, 1966, in Alma, MI, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on August 8, 2025, in Rose City, MI. Mae was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grammie, and friend, whose life was marked by her deep Christian faith and extraordinary talents. She married her loving husband, Sean Delaney, on June 3, 2017, with whom she shared countless cherished moments, including fishing trips at their special spot in the Upper Peninsula. Mae found joy in her family, especially in her role as a grammie. She adored spending time with her seven grandchildren: Zander, Allison, Harrison, Bryn, Eloise, Franklin, and Scarlett. Each moment spent with them was a treasure in her heart. Mae was a dedicated Christian of the Tri Point Church of God family in Mio, MI, where her faith played a central role in her life. She was a talented cook and had a special gift for recreating dishes she enjoyed dining on at restaurants. Mae's famous hot chocolate bars and pumpkin pancakes became a family favorite, along with her delightful coffee dates with family and friends. In addition to her culinary skills, Mae enjoyed reading, writing, gardening, crafting, and supporting her family business, Delaney's Wood Fired Maple Syrup. She took great pride in creating the infused maple syrup, confections, and BBQ sauces, which reflected her passion for both her family and her talents. Mae Lynn is survived by her husband, Sean Delaney; her daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Bingham; her sons, Andrew (Thomas Trolle) Blizzard and Steven Blizzard; her step-sons, Devin (Laurine) Delaney and Derek (Kaley) Delaney; her father, Lon (Kathy) Hawkins; her mother, Michaelyn Hawkins; parents-in-law Fred and Evelyn Delaney, her sisters, Michelle (Bob) Cooper and Brandy (Ricky) Squires; her step-sister, Michille (Scott) Federer; her step-brother, John (Ruth) Yoder; her sister-in-law, Penny Hawkins; and her dear grandchildren.
