Mae Donner Obituary
Mae Alice was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Alice (nee Strubing) Donner and had a lifelong love of animals especially dogs. She taught for 32 years, teaching second through fifth grade in the Maple Heights School System. She was a charter member of South Haven United Church of Christ in Bedford, Ohio and The Maple Heights Historical Society as well as helped found The AARP Library Lane Chapter 4490 in Maple Heights. Upon Retirement in 1986, she traveled extensively and volunteered at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Friends will be received Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM followed by service at 12:30 PM at Busch Romito Funeral Home 521 Broadway Bedford, Ohio. A private burial will take place next to her parents at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio. www.buschcares.com

Miss Donner was my 5th grade teacher at Raymond School in Maple Heights around 1960. She was a strict teacher, but never mean. Many fond memories of Raymond School and Miss Donner remain. I had contact with her over the years and enjoyed our visits. Rest now, forever at peace.

Mae Alice was my fathers first cousin. We lived in Rochester, NY so seeing each other was not very often. When she did come to visit my father showed her around Rochester. She loved to travel and when I moved to China she loved to hear about life there. She touched many life´s being a teacher and sharing her experiences with them.

Mae Alice was my father´s first cousin. We lived in Rochester, NY so seeing each other was not very often. When Mae Al came to visit my father would show her around Rochester.
She loved to travel and when I moved to China she loved hearing about life there

I was still in grade school
When her parents passed away but I remember them visiting and still have a storybook they gave us for
Christmas one year. My father always enjoyed helping Mr Donner when something needed repaired at their home and some of the tools in my garage were gifts of his tools when she sold her home and moved to Vermillion
