Mae B. Jobe

1935 - 2025

Mae B. Jobe, 90, of Delmont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025. She was born in New Alexandria on May 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Leroy and Meredith Miller Allison. Mae was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Delmont. She was an active volunteer with the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. Her hobbies included sewing, and she was a member of the Alwine Homemakers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James P. Jobe; daughter, Melanie Demorest; sisters, Arlene Gutrum, Luella Groome, and Gladys Sheffler; and a brother, Ralph Allison. Mae is survived by her children, Chuck Jobe, Donald Jobe (Becky), Cindy Miller (Bud), Tamara Weightman (Jon), and Paul Jobe (Tina). Mrs. Jobe will be greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren, Mindy Weaver (Kevin), Misty Demorest (Brandon), Krista Jobe, Derek Jobe, Tara Staiger (Shane), Joshua Miller (Silja), Allison Hunter (Ryan), Shawn Miller (Alli), Amanda Weightman (Dustin), Jenna Vandenberg (Casey), Connor Jobe (Erika), and Mason Jobe; great-grandchildren, Landon and Isabella Wigfield, Madison and Parker Jobe, Ava, Brynn, and Ensley Hunter, and Lacey Staiger; special niece, Ruth Shannon (Jim); son-in-law, Bill Demorest; sisters-in-law, Janet Tresch and Karen Allison; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mae's family would like to extend special thanks to William Penn Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their care. Family and friends are welcome to join a celebration of Mae's life at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 E. Pittsburgh St., Delmont, PA 15626, with Pastor Kara Propst officiating.
