Maggie Griego, 82, of Dixon, New Mexico, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 22, 2025. She was born on November 6, 1943, to Jose and Eugenia Duran of Chimayó.
Maggie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life reflected a deep devotion to family. Maggie radiated warmth, love, and joy to those she encountered and her presence was felt and cherished by all. She found joy in spending time outdoors landscaping her beautiful yard and treasured the many car rides she shared with her husband, Gilbert. Maggie lived a full life, rich with joy, happiness, and love.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Griego; daughter-in-law Annette Griego; parents Jose and Eugenia Duran; brothers Dennis, Albert, and Henry Jr. Duran; and her sister Esther Martinez.
She is survived by her devoted husband Gilbert Griego; sons David Griego and Randy (Carrie) Griego; grandchildren Anjanette (Michael), Maegen (Zachary) and Matthew (Alyssa) Griego; step-grandchildren Leorrie (Eric) Watson and DJ (Briana) Atencio; great-grandchildren KenaLee, Noah, Kaylee, and Liam; step-great-grandchildren London, Lili, and Eric Jr.; her sisters; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A private service will be held to celebrate Maggie’s beautiful life at a later date.
Serving as Pallbearers are Darren Griego, Donald Atencio Jr., Gary Duran, John Gomez, Matthew Griego, Michael Visarraga and Zachary Martinez.
