Major N. Hamilton III, Born January 15, 1979, in Rahway, NJ to Carrie L Lawson Henderson and Major Hamilton Jr. Major received his early education in Rahway, NJ and later received is high school diploma. Major accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church located in Edison, NJ. He also enjoyed singing in the children’s choir and working on the usher board. He found his footing in the workforce alongside his grandfather and uncles at PT contractors where he apprenticed as a masonry apprentice. It was there that he honed his craft, displaying dedication and skill that will characterize his endeavors throughout his life. Later he took on the role of a saw operator at MHD multi-housing depot showcasing his commitment and expertise in every task he undertook.
Major was dedicated and caring to all his family, friends and loved ones. His mom meant the world to him. Her happiness was always his main concern. Yet, Major’s true essence transcended his professional achievements he was a guardian of his family and friends, his protective instincts matched only by his boundless compassion. Whether offering a listening ear, imparting words of wisdom, or rushing to the aid of those in need, he was a beacon of strength and support, a steadfast presence in times of both joy and adversity. He loved watching sports raiders were his favorite football team. He loved playing scrabble and celebrating at family gatherings. At an early age he was in a rap group with his friends called the Chrome KYDZ. He was a loving and faithful grandfather who loved playing with his grandchildren.
Major received his angel wings on May 21, 2024. He spent his final days with family and his significant partner. He was truly blessed and will be missed. Though Major has bid farewell to this earthly realm, his spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. His laughter, his strength, and his unwavering love will serve as a guiding light, illuminating the path for generations to come.
Major was preceded in death by his grandparents Plemmie Lee and Carrie Mae Lawson, Aunts Delores, Elaine, Lorraine and Rosalyn. Leave to cherish in memories his mother Carrie and father Major Hamilton Jr, stepfather James Henderson. His Children Taquill, Ny’Asia, Isaiah and Elijah. Two grandchildren Noah and Hermes. Sister’s Nicole, Shawne, LaTonya, god sisters Sabrina Newkirk and Iesha Griggs and brother Bryan. A fiancée of 17 years Latisha and a host of Aunts, uncles, extended relatives’ cousins and friends.
