Learning of Drew's passing, published in the Fall 2025 issue of The New Jersey Bounce I feel our Nation has lost a great patriot. Drew a I served together in Vietnam on the Iowa class Battleship USS New Jersey. I recall a particular night (0300 hrs.) standing side by side passing 5" projectiles from one magazine to another in support of a long firing mission during the Tet offensive in 1968. Drew and I we're in the same Division (4th) and he slept in the bunk above me. Drew had many friends on the ship and was always in good humor regardless of how tough things got. I never heard Drew say a bad word about anybody. If our duty cycle or watches aligned, we would eat together or take in a movie on the mess deck.
I send my sincere condolences to his family, and I will send a donation remembering Drew to the Battleship USS New Jersey Museum & Memorial. Rest in peace shipmate.

Drew was a great K-9 Officer who always had our back. Always backing you up on jobs. Had stories to tell to younger guys. Great guy and friend. Rest in Peace Drew. My condolences to his family, friends and fellow Officers. Chris, dad was a hell of a guy.
