Funeral Service for Malcolm Nathan Johnson, 52, of Hamburg, AR, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024. Service will be held at Emmanuel Church of God & Christ, 212 West Foote Street, Hamburg; Bishop Danny Mays and Sister Orean Wade, Officiating.

Malcolm was born on March 1, 1972 to Charlie and Pearlie Lee Johnson in Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended school in the Hamburg School District and graduated with the class of 1990. After working in several different careers, he retired as a prison guard from Delta Regional Correctional Center, Arkansas Department of Correction, Dermott. He enjoyed mechanic work.

Malcolm passed on Tuesday, October 20, 2024, at his home in Hamburg. He is survived by three children, Trevon Johnson (Jasmine) of Monticello, AR, Phillep J. Johnson of Lake Village, AR, and Kira N. Johnson of Lake Village, AR; one grandchild, Jaslynn Denae Johnson of Monticello, AR; and five sisters, Annetha Downs of Hamburg, AR, Pearlie Mae Johnson of Portland, AR, Stella Stanley of Monticello, AR, Elnora Johnson of Monticello, AR, and Dorothy Hillard of Helena, AR. He is preceded in death by four siblings, David Johnson, Michael Nathaniel Johnson, Mazie Johnson Pitts, and Patricia Dickerson.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 6-7 p.m. at Emmanuel Church of God & Christ, 212 West Foote Street, Hamburg.

Burial will take place at Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Arkansas. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 738 East Oakland Avenue, Monticello, Arkansas.
