Malcolm was born on November 24, 1941 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Clarence and Celeste Soder. He attended school in Grand Rapids, MN, graduating in 1959. He married Donna McKim in 1959 in Grand Rapids. Malcolm worked as a UPS driver and also was self-employed as a meat cutter, owning and operating Soder's Meats in Northome, MN for 40 years, retiring in 2016. Malcolm was a member of the catholic church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Malcolm was well loved and will be missed.
Malcolm is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Donna of Northome; 3 daughters, Carolyn Guderian of Brooklyn Park, MN, Margaret Overson of Pine City, MN, and Hallie Chambers of East Grand Forks, MN; a son, Martin Soder of Norfolk, VA; a sister, Georgia Schooley of Minneapolis, MN; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Christopher and Michael Soder.
