Mary and Bill Templeton
June 29, 2024
Mr. Watson, as I was taught to call him growing up, attended my church, Red Springs Presbyterian and owned Watson Chevrolet. He and his wife, Mary Dan, sat near our family pew in church and were faithful members. Mary Dan and I were "Birthday Friends" having both been born on September 27. As I grew up and married, I learned to call him Malcolm! My husband, Bill, and I bought several cars from Malcolm. He was always fair and friendly. He was a quiet man, but very focused on providing opportunities for young people in our community. I remember how happy he and Mary Dan were to become parents of Clifton and Malcolm! Through the years, their family grew, but their was always enough love to go around for their grandchildren and great- grandchildren! With the passing of Malcolm Watson, Red Springs Presbyterian and the Red Springs community has suffered a great loss, but Heaven has gained a wonderful angel!
