Malcolm Claude Wright

Malcolm Claude Wright, age 72, passed away on January 27, 2026, in Gretna, Louisiana.

Born on January 21, 1954, Malcolm proudly served in the United States Army. He lived life on his own terms, valuing honesty and independence, and was known for doing things his way.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Mae Wright; his twin brother, Millard Clyde Wright; his brothers, John Wright and Hue Cooks; his sister, Audrey Adams; and his beloved cat, Lobo.

He is survived by his children, Kalleta Wright and Kareem Wright; his stepdaughter, Zakita Mitchell; his brother, Ocie Wright; his sister, Evelyn Bulger; his grandchildren, Chaunisha Stein, Morris Thompson, Monet Kyra Wright, Princess-Haven Lexy-Ann Seals, Amarion Jerri Wright, and Dontaz Domonick Wright; his great-granddaughter, Sabina Kay Claudia Stein; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm., visitation will begin at 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
