Earlier today

I'm am so sorry to hear about this loss. Mal was my student at OPRF and she would come hang out in my study hall to do some school work - and chat a bit! It was always a highlight of my day. Mal sparkled with a vibrant, thoughtful, creative energy. I was lucky to have known her. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

Yesterday

Mal was such a bright light, I will forever cherish the wonderful times we spent together. The soft scent of Amber will always live in my heart, every time she entered my office I would know it was her just based on the fragrance. Thank you for brightening my life with your smile and laughter, and thank you for making me take good care of my lashes. Rest easy my sweet Mal.

Dear Meyer family,

I have such fond memories of teaching Malinda during her 8th grade year at Roosevelt. Although somewhat of a reserved and quiet student, when Malinda felt comfortable enough to open up, she lit up the room with her sense of humor and kindness. My deepest sympathies to you all and to all that were privileged enough to know her.

I was lucky enough to coach Melinda for youth soccer for River Forest/Oak Park. She was always my favorite player and was one of the fastest on the team. I counted on her for her tenacity and desire to always score. She will be missed. My condolences to the family,

I wanted to share my fond memories of Malinda who went all through school with my daughter, Ava. They have know each other since their days at Lincoln all the way through their days at University of Dayton. I remember Malinda from being a room parent and coming to serve fun lunch. She was always a sweet girl. Ava enjoyed time with her on their middle school trip to DC and some fun nights out at UD. My heartfelt sympathy is extended to Kim and all those who loved Malinda. May her memory be an eternal blessing.

Kim & Family,

I was lucky enough to watch Malinda grow up while serving lunch or volunteering in D90. Malinda was a sweet, kind and energetic young girl, who grew into young woman with the same qualities.
My heart breaks for you and your family. You are in my heart and my thoughts.
With love and peace, Dionna Plywacz

Dear Meyer Family:
This is Larry Garstki, Malinda's Principal at Roosevelt School. I am so very sorry to hear the news. I remember Malinda as a quiet student but with a great sense of humor. The entire community benefitted from her being a student at our school. My most sincere prayers go out directly to her and your family.
