I knew Aunty Maneck from the day I was born in London. She was a dear friend of my late parents Drs Noshir and Kooki BHARUCHA. Subsequently, as a youngster I used to meet her in Mumbai & Mhow the latter when she worked in Ratlam. The last time we met was in London in the. 1990s She was an amazing person. As long time employees of the Marcy and Mohawk Valley Psychiatric centers, my wife Danielle and I were both very aware and appreciative of the professionalism and humanity of Maneck and her husband Jehangir. In retirement we also were regular partakers of courses through MVILR, would occasionally see her and knew of her dedicated participation there. A wonderful life she led.

41 years of enjoying the company and counsel of such a wonderful and selfless person. A true and active champion for those less fortunate many of whom will never know Maneck was the impetus for a better life for them.

A sad loss indeed for Jehangir, me and the community she cared for and about.
