Manuel Dugay Afaga

Manuel Dugay Afaga, 79, of Waikoloa, Hawaii, died, February 23, 2025, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on October 11, 1945. He was employed as a golf attendant at Mauna Kea Beach Resort for 39 years and former co-owner of Waikoloa Taxi. He was also a member of St. Michael's the Archangel Catholic church and ILWU local no. 142. He enjoyed carpentry work, fishing, growing fruits and vegetables, cooking, going to Las Vegas, and spending time with grandchildren and dog, Axel. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. March 25, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona; mass will begin at 10 a.m; noon burial at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome at the cemetery only. He is survived by wife, Juliana; daughters, Elena, Victoria (Sean), Annabelle (Peter), Lilian (John), Marilyn (Alex); siblings, Marino (Pacita), Miguel (Dolores), Domy (Cathy), Maria Warlita (Roman), Rodola (Pedro), Sebastian (Eufracia), Susana (Sunil); grandchildren, Brianne, Kyler, Anthony, Emma, Hailey, Tylan, Erika, Avah, Layla and Andrew; best friend & family pet dog, Axel.
