Manuel was born on August 13, 1939 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Pedro Barba and Enedina Varela.
He is survived by his wife Susana Barba; three sons, Ventura Barba and his wife Isela Soto of Deming, NM; Jesus Barba and his wife Candelaria of Phoenix, AZ and Frank Barba and his wife Melissa Hernandez of Phoenix, AZ; eight daughters, Irma Barba and her husband Antonio Merino of Redding, CA; Manuela Barba and her husband Lucio Gonzalez of Phoenix, AZ; Aurora Barba of Phoenix, AZ; Martha Barba and her husband Angel Merino of Redding, CA; Estela Mena and her husband Victor of Phoenix, AZ; Ramona "Monie" Nuñez of El Paso, TX; Enedina Barba and her husband Juan Lozano of Columbus, NM and Maria Isabel Barba of Palomas, Mex.; two sisters, Guadalupe Barba of Tucson, AZ and Francisca Barba of Deming, NM; thirty nine grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; one son, Manuel Barba; one daughter, Maria Velia Calderon; three brothers, Jesus Barba, Ventura Barba and Pedro Barba; three sisters, Lucia Montoya, Esperanza Barba and Teresa Barba; four grandchildren, Manuel Barba, Veronica Barba, Osvaldo Duran Barba and Christian Barba.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 9-10am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the holy rosary beginning at 10am with Lucy Alvarado officiating. Funeral mass will then take place at St. Ann Catholic Church at 11am with Father, Francis Gyau officiating. Cremation will then take place at Terrazas Crematory. Serving as pallbearers are Pedro Barba, Albert Merino, Angel Barba, Nathan Barba, Manuel Barba and Luis Calderon.
