Born on December 23, 1944, Manuel Guillen a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on December 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Theresa Guillen; his sister, Carmen; his brothers, Roy and Frank "Pancho" Guillen; and the love of his life, his beloved wife, Janie Guillen. Manuel is survived by his children: Jesse (Destiny), Veronica (Juan), Dorothy (Mage), and Melanie (Albert); his 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; his siblings, Linda, Rosa, George, Richard "Rick"; numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory. Manuel lived a life full of faith and love for God and showed that by all his service, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to all those he encountered. Family was everything to him, and he spent his life ensuring they were loved, protected, and cared for. His generosity knew no bounds, as he helped countless people throughout his life without ever expecting anything in return. Manuel honorably served his country in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force, serving two tours in the Vietnam War with the Marines and one tour in Operation Desert Storm with the Air Force. He decided to retire after 29 years in the Air Force Reserves. While in the Air Force Reserves, he was a dedicated civil service worker with Kelly A.F.B. His dedication to his country reflected his strong sense of duty, courage, and integrity. Above all else, Manuel will be remembered as a loving and selfless man whose heart belonged to his God and his family. His strength, kindness, and quiet sacrifices shaped generations, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
