Manuel Longoria Jr., 77, of Fort Worth, passed away on March 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Manuel was born in La Villa and carried the values of hard work, faith, and family with him throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam War.

After his military service, Manuel built a respected career as a government contractor, working with General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin. His dedication and work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and friends throughout the years.

Manuel truly enjoyed life. He loved traveling, spending time with his family, family cookouts, and relaxing at the lake house.

Those who knew Manuel will remember his sharp sense of humor and his ability to find a laugh in everyday moments. He was known for phrases like "Brilliant," "That's excellent," "Top of the line."

Manuel was first married to Elva Tamez Longoria in 1971, and together they shared many years of life and family until 2007. He later married his loving wife, Gloria Torres Longoria, with whom he shared the past 18 years of faith, partnership, and companionship.

More than anything, Manuel loved his family deeply. He enjoyed being surrounded by them, sharing stories, cooking out, and creating memories that will live on through the generations.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Longoria; his children Melissa, Melinda, and Manuel Longoria III; and his cherished grandchildren Xavier, Noah, Emma, Madelyn, Melanie, and Max.

Manuel was a man of faith and a member of New Riverside United Methodist Church.

A memorial service celebrating Manuel's life will be held Saturday, March 7 at 5:00 PM at New Riverside United Methodist Church.

His legacy of faith, humor, strength, and love for family will live on in all who knew him.
