My deepest condolences to Manny Jr and to all of this truly remarkable Family. You are all in my prayers at this difficult time.

I was a close friend of Maria. As such, I have many fond memories of being driven back to college by Mr. Mercader. He introduced me to listening to jazz music. After college, my son, Shawn and I visited Maria in NYC regularly and often made a stop in Bronxville. Mr. Mercader was always so kind and gracious to both me and to my Son.
His constant devotion during Maria's decades of illness will always be a source of inspiration to me.
