I didn't know how to add the 2nd photo, so here it is.

In 1972-73 I was officer-in-charge of a Seabee Team for NMCB-71 deployed to Andros Island Bahamas to do dredging at a key Navy support facility. Manny was a key member of the 22-man team. He was a great team member and person - - highly skilled, dedicated, and always professional. I have thought about him many times in the past 51 years, and I'm happy to see he had a good, long life and a great family. My condolences to his family. I'm sorry to hear of Tina's passing. I'm attaching two photos. The first is of our Seabee Team when we graduated from training in late 1972. Manny is 5th from the left standing. I'm on the far left on one knee. The 2nd photo is from the NMCB071 "Transit" battalion monthly newsletter (May 1973). It shows me re-enlisting Manny for another term (probably 4 years?). Tina was visiting Manny at the time at the deployment site at Andros Island.

So sorry to hear this news.
I served with Manny in the Seabees at Little Creek VA. back in 1977 to 1978. He was well known, well liked and a excellent mechanic. He was the "Gentle Giant". May his name be a blessing to all that knew him. RIP Manny
